Mental Health Awareness Month Day 2
What Mental Health Really Means
Today I am focused on what mental health really means. When people hear the word “mental health” they often think of diagnoses, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. But mental health is much broader, and much more present in everyday life than that. In other words mental health isn’t something you either have or don’t have. It’s something you experience continuously, and just like physical health, it exists on a spectrum. I believe it is important to understand the patterns in your life and take small consistent actions to keep your mental health balanced: daily time management, healthy nutrition, exercise, getting enough sleep, setting boundaries, and/or simply giving yourself space to process your feelings. Because once you do, you’ll begin to see how much it shapes your everyday life and how small shifts can make a meaningful difference. #mentalhealthawareness #nohealthwithoutmentalhealth #mentalhealt
