About DrDeb
I am a woman who has been burned to the ground more than once—and risen every time.
I’ve walked through some of the hardest corridors life can offer:
- The sudden, shattering loss of my first husband by suicide
- The deep betrayal of infidelity in my marriage
- The grief of losing my second husband suddenly and unexpectedly
- A cancer diagnosis that led to chemotherapy, radiation, and the long road back to health
- Leading a COVID-19 hospital as a healthcare executive in the darkest days of the pandemic
These experiences did not break me. They refined me.
Professionally, I am a highly accomplished healthcare executive with years of experience leading complex systems, guiding teams through crisis, and building programs that restore dignity, safety, and hope. I’ve worked at the intersection of clinical care, human behavior, organizational systems, and leadership—where the stakes are high and the margin for error is small.
Personally, I am someone who knows what it means to have your world end—and to keep going anyway. I understand trauma, grief, betrayal, illness, and profound uncertainty not as abstract concepts, but as lived realities. I also understand resilience, reinvention, and the quiet, relentless work of rebuilding a life.
I am now channeling all of this—my professional expertise and my personal story—into my book and my consulting work.
My mission is to help individuals and organizations:
- Understand how behavioral health impacts all of us, in every organization, every family and every individual
- How to navigate the grieving process
- Transform adversity into growth, purpose, and sustainable change
I work with leaders, teams, and organizations who are ready to move beyond survival—to rise from their own ashes with more wisdom, strength, and intention than before.
